Use Case at the Palletizer Station

The purpose of palletizer machines is to automate the manual work of loading products on to a pallet. But, if something goes wrong at the automated station, no one sees what has happened.

Root Cause Analysis with the Help of Video Recording

Therefore filming the palletizer station is a great way to find the root cause of a fault. You can see on the video what exactly happened. Did the products arrive already in the incorrect position or did the robot place them wrongly on the pallet?

Mounting a camera, for example a GoPro, sounds like a good idea and it will probably help to find the fault. However, it is a cumbersome way of working to find the fault in a long video.

First, you have to transfer the large video file to a computer. Then you have to search for the relevant section within the video, possibly 8 hours with limited information about when the fault occurred. By the time you find the fault, there might already be a new problem in production you need to fix.
